The Rifle/Handgun area of the range hosts five varying yardages. The 25yd vantage point is the clubs handgun yardage and is a good yardage for beginner rimfire and handy for initial rifle sighting in.
The 50yd, 100yd, 200yd and 250yd vantage points are for rifles exclusively and handguns are not to be used at these yardages.
The yardages are labled at the applicable shooting enclosures. The shooter must only shoot at the desired yardage from the appropriate bench/ enclosure, this eliminates dangerous angles of target engagement and this rule MUST be followed! For example, although you may be able to see the 100yd target board from the 200yd bench, you must not shoot at it from that position.
Our range is certified for handgun use and rifle calibers with ballistic capabilities up to and including a .338 Lapua Magnum.
Our club has maintained an unblemished reputation for over 40 years and has been able to do so with good, safety conscious members. Adhering to the rules is paramount for the continuing operation of the rifle/handgun range and any member not following the rules puts the club at risk!
Our club is surrounded by an agriculture lease. During harvest, the rifle/handgun range may need to be temporarily closed to allow the machinery and men to work in the field beyond the earthen berms. There is a flip down sign on the clubs gate that will be locked when the closure is in effect. If you provided an email when purchasing your membership, you will be given notice of the closure via email. You can also check the website under Events/Closures for this information as it becomes available to the club executive.
